Sorry we have been incommunicato for a few months. Chris was having a difficult time figuring out how to start a new blog. I felt uncomfortable writing on "cocosdads" since we now have TWO daughters and I did not want to give Kiki a complex later in life.
Kiki just turned 6 months two weeks ago. We have been sooo fortunate (**knocking on wood**) that she has been extremely healthy, despite a bunch of sickness travelling through our house. She is a fantastic sleeper (**knocking on wood again**!!) and has been for a few months. She goes to sleep at 7 every night and wakes up between 5-6:30. We really didn't even need to do much sleep training on her. She has an amazing internal clock and starts to get really cranky at 6:31 if she is not on her way to getting her bath. She is even more cranky if she does not have her bottle by 7:01. You could set your watch to her precision.
Kiki has started eating solid foods. She absolutely loves squash (both acorn and butternut), bananas, and mango juice. We are blessed that Coco also has a very adventurous palate. She will go through an entire package of seaweed, loves edamame and could eat cherry tomatos at every meal.
Kiki sits up very well, but she is not crawling yet. She is at that adorable stage where they are eating well, but not really moving yet and looks a bit like the Michelin Man...lots of chunk and rolls! We know that will all go away as soon as she starts moving around, so we are enjoying it while it lasts. She is a big girl. At our doctor's appointment recently, she weighed in at 19.3 pounds (93rd percentile) and was 27 inches tall (88th percentile).
